Invested in CertiVox Ltd.

NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc. (Minato-ku Tokyo, President & CEO: Kazuhiro Yoshizawa) today announced its investment in CertiVox Ltd. (London UK, CEO: Brian Spector), developer of Software-based, Multi-factor Authentication Platform.

1.Overview of the investment

Through the investment fund operated by the company, NTT DOCOMO Ventures completed the investment by joining the Series B funding round for CertiVox.

2.Background

The software-based, multi-factor authentication platform, developed by CertiVox, is expected to enhance user experience and, at the same time, to enable building the innovative and strong security systems. CertiVox’s M-Pin software prevents enterprises or service providers from the incidents, such as customer data leakage from servers, because its software platform does not record any IDs or Passwords on the servers. In addition, all the authentication are completed with only software processing on such devices as smartphones, because M-Pin does not require additional 3rd party client devices. CertiVox’s technology is highly expected to contribute to enterprise solution businesses as well as to the area of Cloud related services for NTT group companies.
