NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO, Takayuki Inagawa; hereinafter “NDV”), through a fund it operates, has invested in Repro Inc. (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO, Yusuke Hirata; hereinafter “Repro”), the provider of the Repro customer engagement (CE) platform, which is designed to help companies build relationships with their customers.
Companies have started attaching importance to understanding their customers by applying data and communicating with them appropriately with optimum timing in the context of diversifying consumer behaviors in recent years. More and more companies are requesting CE, through which long-term relationships with customers are constructed, in addition to points of contacts, such as purchases and contracts.
Repro is now evolving its integrated CE platform with the same name in line with such trends into more than 7,300 services (as of January 2020) in 66 countries worldwide. The Repro platform enables companies to communicate with each and every customer with optimum timing, content, and channels by applying all types of data that they own online and offline, including data on stores, websites, and applications.
Repro began offering this platform as a tool for analyzing mobile applications in 2015. The company has cultivated markets for applications marketing since its early days. It has a substantial record of introduction cases and advanced knowledge. With such achievements in the background, Repro has original know-how in relevant areas, including customer behavior analysis based on data gained from more than 50 million devices each month and marketing automation through the practical use of artificial intelligence.
The company’s characteristics show a high affinity with the NTT Group that is advancing data application in various business domains. NDV decided to invest in Repro with the expectation that the latter’s characteristics would contribute to generating new values in many fields.
NDV will advance initiatives for generating new values by helping Repro and the NTT Group align their services in the future.
