NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO, Takayuki Inagawa) has invested in RAFAY SYSTEMS, Inc. (RAFAY), headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA and led by CEO and Cofounder, Haseeb Budhani.
Today, organizations are deploying applications in multi public cloud, private cloud and on-premise environments to meet latency, compliance and geo-fencing requirements. To accelerate this process, companies are adopting software container technology and Kubernetes orchestration software. The new technologies offer advantages for rapidly application deployment and scaling but can be complex to use and scale.
RAFAY solves these challenges by introducing a unique lifecycle management system for containerized applications. RAFAY uniquely builds on top of Kubernetes to deliver multi-cluster federation, runtime configuration updates, and cluster and application blueprinting. With RAFAY, service providers can securely and scalably distribute and operate applications in any environment while reducing reliance on resource-intensive, in-house developed tools.
By introducing the RAFAY solution, service providers can establish multi cloud environments using an automated framework that reduces the complexity of containerized lifecycle management.
The investment in RAFAY enables both the NTT Group that provides cloud solutions and RAFAY to accelerate the development of industry-changing solutions.
NTT DOCOMO Ventures will continue to promote collaborations with startups and the development of new services based on NTT Group’s advanced technologies, as a part of the Group’s ongoing endeavor to resolve social issues and create new value for customers through innovation.
