Invested in UBiqube

NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO, Toshiki Nakayama), through the fund it operates, invested in UBiqube (Ireland) plc (headquartered in Dublin, Ireland; CEO, Nabil Souli; hereinafter referred to as “UBiqube”), an Irish start-up company that develops and sells software frameworks for cloud orchestrations.

Background
　UBiqube develops and sells software frameworks that create simple settings by absorbing and abstracting differences in the control method of each device vendor and their interfaces. UBiqube, controls and manages various vendors’ physical or virtual devices, such as a router, switch and security devices like firewall and IPS to IP devices, including IoT, in a cloud environment. UBiqube’s products are expected to be installed into managed services for SDx, white-box switch, vCPE, vEPC, virtualization security, M2M/IoT, etc. and are being introduced to pioneer telecommunication carriers etc.
　Their products carry a high reputation from their existing customers and will have increased business opportunities with the future growth of the applicable market through partnering with distribution partners.
　We invested in UBiqube as their products are already utilized at NTT Security (Japan) KK and have a high affinity to NTT Group’s efforts in cloud and security business, and we expect this to contribute to the creation of new values in these fields.
