Transfer of Stocks of NTT Investment Partners, Inc. – Aims to strengthen ties with promising ventures –

TOKYO, JAPAN, February 20, 2013 — NTT Investment Partners, Inc., (NTT-IP) a corporate venture capital owned by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), completed all the procedures and registration affairs on the transfer of its stocks from NTT to NTT DOCOMO, INC. (DOCOMO). In combination with DOCOMO’s 10-billion-yen (approximately 109 million USD) venture capital fund DOCOMO Innovation Fund Partnership establishing in late February, NTT-IP re-launches the business on behalf of NTT Group, and will rename and relocate in coming months to accelerate development of new businesses for smartphones and tablets.

We aim to strengthen cooperation with venture companies through operating both DOCOMO Innovation Fund Partnership and NTT Investment Partners Fund Limited Partnership. We will expand our involvement with integrated services centered on mobility and anticipated growing businesses, such as DOCOMO’s eight new strategic fields: media/content, finance/payments, commerce, medical/healthcare, machine-to-machine (M2M), aggregation/platforms, environment/ecology and security/safety, and NTT’s three focus areas: applications/contents, Big Data/M2M solutions and data centers/cloud business.
